"Laser Dental Center" Imitators

There are a lot of new practices springing up that claim to be "Laser Dental Centers," but there are a few important things to take into consideration about them.

First, even though these dentists claim to practice "Laser Dentistry," they generally use their lasers on a very limited basis and have little or no training on how to properly use them.

Then there is the matter of the dental materials that they use, which are usually the same, conventional, non-biocompatible and potentially toxic compounds used in normal dentistry.

Even so-called "biological" dentists that use lasers in some of their procedures have limited knowledge, experience and skill to use their tools to their full advantage.

Dr. Richard T. Hansen, owner and director of Comprehensive Dental Center Associates and Laser Dental Center - Fullerton was the originator of the Laser Dental Center concept, and helped to develop many of the dental lasers and techniques used today. In the 1990's, he was one of only five dentists in the country selected by the FDA to test and try out dental lasers for FDA approval.
